Three Little Pigs Bar-B-Q
$A Loeb's-lineage pit serving one sandwich for 50 years

“Summer Avenue's BBQ-and-biscuits crossroads since 1968”
Bryant's Bar-B-Q & Breakfast began in 1968 as a Loeb's franchise and has held its Summer Avenue home since 1977. It is a genuine dual threat, famous at once for pit barbecue and a Southern breakfast of homemade biscuits under white gravy, a combination that made it a morning institution as much as a smoke house. Garden & Gun crowned it King of Breakfast, but the pit keeps pace: chopped pork sandwiches built on hickory-smoked shoulder, dry-rub ribs off the pit, and salt-cured country ham that leans breakfast or plate. A new owner reopened it in 2021 and left the menu untouched, so the biscuits and the pork still trade off the same counter. Come at dawn for the gravy, stay past noon for the smoke, and either way the line tells you which side is winning.
A dual threat that wins national praise for its biscuits while still slinging proper Memphis pit pork. Garden & Gun called it King of Breakfast; the chopped pork sandwich argues it is more than that.

Bryant's Bar-B-Q & Breakfast serves Memphis Style barbecue — Memphis BBQ is rib country. The great debate is wet vs. dry: dry ribs are coated in a paprika-heavy spice rub and served without sauce, while wet ribs are glazed with a tomato-vinegar based sauce. Memphis also claims BBQ spaghetti and the BBQ nachos.
